I have always been interested in far more than I could ever learn or accomplish.

Sometimes I find it exhilarating - sometimes frustrating - sometimes empowering - sometimes paralyzing.

Even when I was younger, I struggled with the idea of focusing on any one particular interest or specification. I often felt a bit out of place, always a quick study but never really the best at anything. In my youth I was all over the place and that holds true for me now in sports, arts, school, and experiences.

In sports and athletics: water skiing, showing horses, swimming competitively, training dogs, martial arts, tennis, riding four-wheelers, hockey, cruising motorcycles, hiking trails, and dirt biking.

In arts and music: violin, writing poetry, telling stories, clarinet, oboe, abstract drawings, saxophone, vocal solos, mezzo soprano in choirs, sewing, photography, knitting and crochet, writing stories, jewelry, and acrylic painting.

In education and school: vocabulary, literature, geography, algebra, chemistry, theatre, theology, geology, chemistry, anatomy, first aide, off road training, psychology, a bachelor's degree, and a master's degree.

Across experiences: a great cup of coffee, evolving recipes, traversing the states, marveling National Parks, road-tripping across country, teaching hundreds of children to swim, singing in a Basilica, learning from impressive women, spending hours in museums across the world, boardgame nights with friends, snowboarding down a mountain, and building memories with family.

The term 'jack of all trades' has always resonated with me, but even more so when you see the whole phrase.

"A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one."

Welcome to Master of None - where there's no specific interest, but a flurry of them.
